An HP 48GX/G+ application for analyzing beams subjected to transverse loading or shafts under combined bending and torsion. The types of problems the program will solve include members with the following: any number of supports, fixed ends or overhangs, nonlinear distributed loads, a variable E, and stepped or continuously varying cross sections. It calculates the reactions and computes shear, bending moment, slope, deflection and shaft max shearing stress at a user-specified number of increments. The user can plot the diagrams, find the max and min values, and display or print any portion of the output. The user's manual is an Adobe PDF document. |
