GPSurvey is a series of programs created for the 50g calculator that can be used with other HP 49 series calculators, and the 48GX. The program is written as an aid to help perform preliminary site surveys for existing and proposed pipe line and access road alignments. This program is most useful when used to determine positions, lengths and in some cases elevations (at considerable elevation changes) of civil infrastructure within a large area or along a long alignment. HP50GPS is a set of programs designed to capture, display and save GPS data on the HP50g calculator via the serial port. The programs are written in User RPL and System RPL and require an NMEA 2.2 complaint serial GPS unit and a serial cable. An SD card is required to save collected GPS data. Code was developed and tested using the cable available at the commerce site of hpcalc.org. Package includes binary program files, plain-text source code and user's guide.

HPlanetarium is a free (GPL) planetarium for the HP 39/40/48G/49/50 in which you can move, zoom and unzoom the sky map "in real time". Equatorial/azimutal coordinates, rise/transit/set times, elongation, magnitude and diameter can be computed for main planets. You can also point a Meade telescope, and there is an ephemeris generator. Source code for the HP 49 is provided. A light version (only 24 KB) is available for the HP 48G.
